Participating integrated vascular surgery residency programs will have Zoom Rooms in which program directors (or their designee) will provide information about their training opportunities and answer questions. There will also be an opportunity to ask a panel of current vascular trainees questions about the interview and match process.

Description: The division serves as the principal tertiary-care referral network for vascular disease across the state. This faculty have an established clinical interest in the areas of carotid artery disease, thoracic outlet syndrome, aneurysm surgery, visceral arterial reconstructions, peripheral artery occlusive disease, and comprehensive management of venous disease, dialysis access as well as a wide spectrum of endovascular therapies.

Description: The Division of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery at Mayo Clinic’s campus in Rochester, Minnesota, offers a five-year integrated residency program in a collegial learning environment. Our emphasis is on surgical skills training, academic career opportunities, individual mentoring, and a curated didactic experience. Vascular integrated residents train with all six vascular surgeons at the Rochester campus and multiple subspecialty services who work collaboratively in a group practice covering all facets of vascular surgery.

Description: The Ohio State University Department of Surgery offers an integrated vascular surgery residency program, where residents enter directly after completing medical school. This five-year program was established in 2020 and develops competency in the surgical treatment of patients with complicated vascular conditions. Through The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, residents are exposed to routine patient care as well as complicated medical problems, in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Interaction with a multitude of specialties occurs regularly along with grand rounds and didactic conferences. Residents who complete the program are prepared to serve in both academic and clinical care settings.

Description: Saint Louis University’s Vascular Surgery Integrated Residency (0+5) Program is fully accredited by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME) for one position each year. The Vascular Surgery integrated residency program allows medical students to pursue a career in vascular surgery after completion of medical school via five clinical years of training, leading to board certification in Vascular Surgery.

Description: We offer comprehensive training in diagnosis, medical management, surgical and endovascular treatment of all vascular disease (including cerebrovascular, peripheral vascular, thoracic and abdominal aortic, visceral, traumatic and venous disease; hemodialysis access) via clinical rotations at multiple venues, didactic educational programming, and close work with faculty experienced in Vascular Surgery. Due to the robust clinical volume, we are able to sponsor both a Residency and Fellowship free of competition for cases and experience. Outcomes or clinical research is required for the Residency and encouraged for the Fellowship.

Description: The University of Michigan Integrated Vascular Surgery Residency Program offers broad experience in open and endovascular surgical skillsets, with exposure to all aspects of vascular surgery. Our program also offer two years of protected and funded academic development time between the third and fourth clinical year. We have a record of excellent outcomes with 100% pass rates on board exams.

Description: The University of Wisconsin Division of Vascular Surgery has a long history of graduating trainees who are successful in both academic and private practice. We offer both a 0+5 residency and a 5+2 fellowship. The strengths of the program include complex open and endovascular treatment of aortic disease, peripheral occlusive disease, and carotid disease. Trainees will be exposed to tertiary care at the University Hospital and VA, as well as community and ambulatory vascular surgery. Academic pursuits concurrent with clinical training or as an additional experience are also encouraged.

Description: The Section of Vascular Surgery offers advanced procedures to treat patients with vascular diseases, participates in vascular research efforts and provides clinical training to residents and fellows. The goal of our program is to train academic vascular surgeons. The vascular surgery trainees gain expertise in the preoperative, operative and postoperative care of patients with vascular diseases.
